Ellynne Skove, is a licensed Movement therapist, OM Yoga 200 hr. yoga teacher, Orff music educator, nationally certified counselor, and Polarity therapist. Her focus is in Pre & Perinatal work with parents to be, new parents, babies children & others. Ellynne’s background of over 30 years of work includes intensive studies of developmental movement patterns and how they relate to yoga, alignment, and emotional and physical foundational imprints Additionally she has studied many forms of bodywork and dance. She has directed and developed numerous infant and early childhood movement therapy programs in typical and special needs settings. Ellynne serves as a graduate supervisor for Sarah Lawrence College and Pratt Institute’s Creative Arts Therapy programs. She developed the GoGo Babies program in 2007 and offers teacher trainings in the United States and abroad . Additionally, Ellynne teaches infant massage,workshops on the “4th Trimester,” and maintains a private practice in birth trauma healing and bodywork. Her work is informed by extensive studies in pre and perinatal psychology and health. Ellynne has chaired the International Birth Psychology Congress in 2012 and 2013, and is a frequent presenter at conferences. Ellynne has served on the staff of The Mary McDowell Friends School, Families First, RealBirth, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Wild Was Mama, Druna Tableland for Dance & Meditation, and Area Yoga to name a few.
