ONLINE PANDEMIC TRANINGSaturdays 5-8 p.m. and Sundays 12-3 p.m. March 6,7,13,14,20,21,27,28 (dates & times subject to change if the group decides this together)This training will benefit professionals working in the fields of yoga, infant health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, dance/movement therapy, bodywork, energy medicine,somatic therapy, craniosacral therapy, somatic psychology, birth psychology, early intervention, pediatrics, post partum doula, & baby nursing to name a few. The training focuses on work with babies from pre conception through the fetal period, and birth on up to the development of the spine, feet, nervous system, and brain. We correlate yoga poses to the developmental movement components of tummy time, side lying, rolling, creeping, crawling, sitting in vertical pushing to stand, & walking. There is a strong emphasis on infant anatomical development and the nervous system as it relates to WELCOMING and optimal growth. We will consider conception, fetal and birth imprints in our training and how to accommodate these along with how conception, fetal or birth trauma can impact development in body,mind, and social emotional development..
We will explore physical practice of developmental movement using ideokinesis, games, & observation. There will be theoretical presentations and discussions, . All participants will receive an extensive training manual, the bookelt, Tummy Time for a Healthy Body & Mind, and a DVD/usb of pre-mobile and mobile babies GoGo Babies® groups. Students will be invited to observe ongoing GoGo Babies® classes on zoom and bring questions to the following weekend meetings. There will be reading and homework activities along with a review/exam.
