Leah is a recognized expert in both teaching children and creating resources and curricula that integrate play, stories, yoga, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning.
After creating successful products and curricula for Gaiam, School Specialty, Imaginazium, Yoga Ed. and Barefoot Books, Leah started her own company, Move with Me Yoga Adventures, to focus on delivering yoga-based active play and self-regulation resources to early education. Over the last 5 years, with teacher/authors Wendy Piret & Liz Bragdon, she developed the comprehensive Movement & Mindfulness Curriculum, which gives parents, teachers, and therapeutic professionals standards based educational activities that build physical fitness, enhance emotional stability, and improve learning readiness.
From 2000 – 2009, as Program Director of Yoga Ed. at The Accelerated School, a K-12 charter in south-central Los Angeles, Leah taught all ages, trained additional yoga teachers, led professional development trainings in using yoga-based tools for classroom well-being, co-authored Pre-K – High School Yoga curricula and trainings for both yoga and PE teachers, and managed a 3-year PEP Grant.
She holds a B.S. in Dance Education from New York University, and a Masters in Developmental Education from Pacific Oaks College. She is a Yoga Alliance registered CYT & ERYT 500 hour, a graduate of the Landmark Forum Curriculum for Living, and a certified Family Constellation Facilitator.
