Nicole has been sharing the gift of Yoga with children and families since 2002 and is recognized as a master Kids Yoga Teacher. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Hartford in 2002 and holds an advanced certification in Sensory Integration from the University of Southern California. Her work as a pediatric, school-based Occupational Therapist led her to start teaching Yoga to children in schools and then inspired her to expand her yoga offerings into the community.
Sharing her extensive Kids Yoga knowledge and experience, and guiding others on their Kids Yoga teaching path is a passion and joy of Nicole’s. She is honored to lead Next Generation Yoga Teacher Trainings in the US and internationally. Writing has also been a long time passion of Nicole’s. She infuses this skill with her Kids Yoga knowledge to co-author monthly Next Generation Yoga Lesson Planswith NGY Founder, Jodi Komitor. Giving back in her own community and beyond is important to Nicole. She is currently an ambassador for Africa Yoga Project and traveled to Kenya with Next Generation Yoga to be of service by sharing NGY with AYP teachers and throughout their communities.
Nicole is committed to furthering her knowledge as a Yoga teacher and as a student of Yoga through her own practice, by attending various trainings on Yoga and child development, and through continued research. She believes in loving big and laughing often. This is felt and experienced throughout the classes she teaches and the trainings she leads. She views each class and training not only as a fun and educational opportunity for children and trainees, but also for herself as a teacher.
